Allison has served as Managing Director of IPA’s Singapore Office since June 2009. Allison has also held the role of Business Manager for IPA’s Chemicals, Life Sciences, and Nutrition Business Unit. She has been with IPA since June 2000. Allison has led numerous benchmarking studies, individual project evaluations, and training workshops for a wide range of industries and clients. She has participated in special studies for individual clients and has led Industry-wide studies, including an analysis of the commissioning and qualification phase of pharmaceutical projects. She has developed and presented several research studies for the annual meeting of IPA's Industry Benchmarking Consortium (IBC), including findings on a study of Responsive/Flexible Project Systems. Allison was the coordinator of the IBC for 2 years; in this role, she led analyses of the performance and metric trends for over 50 IBC companies from the chemicals, refining, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and mining industries. Allison’s areas of interest include the project definition work process and project benchmarking and Best Practices for projects. She is also experienced with detailed work process evaluation and has conducted customized workshops on Best Practices for the processing industry capital work process. Prior to joining IPA, Allison was Quality Manager and Analytical Chemistry team leader for a specialty chemicals company producing fine chemicals and intermediates for the consumer products,, agriculture, and commodity industries. She was responsible for all aspects of quality assurance, including raw materials, process control, finished goods, and certificate of analysis. Allison holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
