IBC Road Show Heading to Houston in May

Released on Friday, March 19, 2010

The Industry Benchmarking Consortium (IBC) provides an independent forum for each participating company to view its performance against that of other companies. The research presented at each conference identifies Best Practices for improving capital effectiveness. During the conference, participants will learn ways to advance specific elements of capital project execution by attending presentations and joining smaller discussions. As was done in the past, this year’s IBC (IBC 2010) will offer metrics and present practices for improving capital effectiveness.

IBC 2010 was held from March 22 to 25, 2010, in Northern Virginia, USA. During this conference, members are allowed to bring a limited number of participants to represent the company. Many participating companies have expressed interest in increasing the size of their delegation as well as enabling participants located outside the United States to participate.

As a result of these requests, IPA will conduct a 1-day Best of IBC 2010 Road Show in Houston, Texas, on May 25, 2010, that will be hosted by Dow. This road show is open to all IBC companies and will provide an opportunity to company participants that were unable to attend the main IBC to view IBC metrics and research.

The Road Show will present research from IBC 2010 that is most relevant to project practitioners along with IBC company metrics. We will cover large project Best Practices and metrics, and include opportunities for discussion and networking. This Road Show is highly recommended for project and business professionals directly involved in the management of either large or small capital projects and turnarounds.
