IPA to Host Turnaround Forum

Released on Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Coinciding with the Best of IBC 2010 Road Show in Europe, IPA will sponsor a forum for both IBC and non-IBC members involved in executing turnarounds.

During the Turnaround Forum, learnings will be shared that result in shorter and more cost-effective turnarounds. Research on the practices that drive success and failure in turnarounds will be presented. Other research on successfully integrating capital projects into turnaround activities will also be discussed. Further, the forum will give participants the opportunity to discuss turnaround experiences with their peers. This forum will be held on April 16, 2010, at the NH Den Haag Hotel in The Netherlands.

The forum will include learnings from our Turnaround Database, which includes:

  • Over 350 turnarounds
  • Turnarounds executed standalone or concurrently with capital projects
  • Small turnarounds (<$3 million) to major turnarounds (>$100 million)
  • Turnarounds from the refining, chemical, petrochemical, power, and other industries

The forums will be hosted in parallel with the Best of IBC 2010 Road Show in Europe to allow the participants to network and share experiences and knowledge with the Best-in-Class companies.
