Fred Biery to Discuss IPA’s Sustainability Research at the IFC 2012 Sustainability Exchange

Fred Biery, Independent Project Analysis (IPA) Manager of Mining, Minerals, and Metals, will discuss IPA’s sustainability research at the 2012 International Finance Corporation (IFC) Sustainability Exchange that will take place in Washington, D.C., from May 22 to 24, 2012.
Biery will reveal results from IPA’s initial survey on the sustainability practices employed in capital projects and will discuss IPA’s future sustainability research plans while participating in the following conference sessions on Tuesday, May 22:
- “Financial Innovation Around Sustainability” panel discussion
- “IPA Benchmarking for the Financial Evaluation Tool” breakout session
The 2012 IFC Sustainability Exchange will be held at the IFC offices in Washington, D.C. The event is expected to bring together more than 150 companies and practitioners to share experiences and lessons learned on how to enhance social, economic, and environmental benefits in large footprint projects, with a focus on the extractive industry.
