IPA Names New VP and Regional Director, Europe

(Vocus/PRWEB) January 27, 2010 -- Independent Project Analysis, Inc (IPA) announced that it has named Patricia Velasquez Griffith as Vice President, New Ventures, effective January 4, 2010. In addition, Mary Ellen Yarossi has been appointed Regional Director, Europe, for IPA.

In her new role, Ms. Griffith’s responsibilities will include the development of new areas of work for IPA and work in new regions of the world. Ms. Griffith will support IPA’s Regional Directors around the world in expanding the reach and breadth of IPA products and services to the Extraction and Process Industries.

Ms. Griffith joined IPA in 1997 after working for 7 years as a construction manager in her native El Salvador and Texas, USA. At IPA, she served as manager of IPA’s Plant-Based Systems business area before transferring to IPA's office in The Hague in mid-2004.

Ms. Griffith served at Regional Director, Europe, from 2004 until taking on this new position. While in Europe, Ms. Griffith led the development of IPA’s work in the Middle East, Africa, and Russia.

Ms. Griffith holds a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the Universidad Centroamericana (1990) and an MBA from George Washington University (2004).

In Ms. Yarossi’s new role, she will oversee IPA’s European operations, which include offices in the United Kingdom and The Hague and serves clients from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia.

Prior to taking this position, Ms. Yarossi was the founding Director of the IPA Institute, the company’s research and education division, for the past 4 years. She joined IPA in 1989 and has served as Manager for the Chemicals business area and then Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Yarossi has also been a member of the IPA Board of Directors since 1998. She is widely published in the area of Best Practices for process industry ventures. Ms. Yarossi joined IPA after 10 years of varied industrial experience, including manufacturing management, R&D, planning and inventory control, quality assurance, and process engineering.

Ms. Yarossi holds an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) from Columbia University.
