Scheduling Practices Metrics are developed using data collected from each of our schedule evaluations. In the way that our Cost Engineering Committee (CEC) cost metrics are used by clients to build and validate estimates, our scheduling metrics can be used in schedule development or in validating an in-house or contractor schedule. These metrics can assist a team in determining the level of detail around activities, schedule logic, and resource loading in the project schedule at the end of Front-End Loading (FEL) 2 (Select) and at the end of FEL 3 (Define). These metrics include industry averages as well as medians and other statistics based on project characteristics such as project type, location, process type, etc.
