IPA Database

All IPA analyses and research are based on proprietary databases. At this writing, IPA's databases contain over 10,000 projects executed worldwide, with about 1,000 projects added each year from the process, consumer products, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and petroleum industries.

More than 2,000 variables describe each project. The data include actual and estimated cost, schedule and operability outcomes; project management strategies and team issues; engineering practices used; technical descriptions; and the completeness of project definition at authorization.

IPA maintains detailed information on all types of projects ranging in size from $20,000 to $6 billion, and carefully protects the information contained in its databases. IPA acts as an honest broker of information among its customers and their industries, while preserving the highest level of confidentiality.
