David Gottschlich

David Gottschlich is the Chief Scientist at IPA and also serves as the head of IPA’s Review Board. David joined IPA in 1990, and, during his time with the company, he has led numerous benchmarking studies and individual project evaluations for a wide range of industries and clients. He has also participated in re-engineering studies of capital project systems and has authored several research studies.

David has several areas of expertise, including new technology, pharmaceutical industry, forest products, specialty chemicals, and modeling the connections between outcomes and practices.

Prior to joining IPA, David worked in R&D and with projects at Westvaco (now MeadWestvaco).

David holds a Ph.D. and an MA in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and earned a BA in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
