Accountant

Independent Project Analysis, Inc. (IPA) a global small company specializing in project and program evaluation for the process industries (e.g. petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer products) has an opening for a degreed Accounting Assistant/Generalist to handle all accounting work in our Curitiba office.

Responsibilities include:

Perform: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, General Ledger. Data entry of all Brazil accounting activity into accounting software. Interface with bank, auditors, tax preparer, and external payroll processor.

Qualified candidates must have:

• Excellent English and Portuguese (written and verbal) communication skills.
• University accounting degree.
• Demonstrated proficiency and 3-5 years experience in Accounting.
• Excellent judgment, discretion and highest ethical standards in the performance of duties.
• Ability to work under limited supervision, producing quality work within deadlines.
• Experience with Solomon IV highly desired.
