Project Analyst

IPA currently has exciting opportunities available for Capital Project Analysts in Reading, UK.

Independent Project Analysis, Inc. (IPA) performs evaluations of capital projects for is the process industries (petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products). We examine issues surrounding cost, schedule, operational effectiveness, and construction safety with a strong focus on the front-end activities that drive project success. Because of the capital projects boom around the world, IPA has a number of permanent positions available. IPA is a global company with offices in the United States, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, China, Australia, Brazil, and Singapore. The IPA project databases are unique and serve as one of the most comprehensive sources of capital project experience in existence.

Our office in Reading, United Kingdom has openings for analysts who can contribute to studying the factors that determine success in complex, technologically advanced projects. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, writing reports, giving client presentations, and working with clients to develop Best Practices to improve clients’ business competitiveness.

Applicants should have the following:

• Master’s degree (or higher) or equivalent in engineering, science (physics, chemistry, geology or biology), operations research, economics, or allied fields
• Quantitative analytical skills
• Interpersonal skills to maintain and develop relationships at senior levels within client companies
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Relevant experience in process industries; operating experience highly desirable, but not essential
• Desirable, but not essential, characteristics include one or more of the following:
  • Genuine fluency in German or Russian
  • In-plant manufacturing experience
  • Capital projects experience
  • Petroleum reservoir geo-science or engineering experience
• Eligible to work in the UK.
