Beijing Mairuo Industry Technical Consulting Company, Ltd. (MITC) was established on October 21, 1998, following an invitation from the Chinese government to IPA to form a joint venture with China National Chemical Industry Economy and Technology Development Center (of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry). MITC became a wholly owned subsidiary of IPA in 2002. The venture combines the center's strengths in knowing the Chinese petroleum and chemical industry with IPA's specialized analytical capabilities and databases to improve investment effectiveness through benchmarking and project evaluation.
