JOB SUMMARY
The Developer Operations / Tester creates and maintains IPA’s CI/CD pipeline for deployments and testing applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DevOps will act as the intermediary between developers and IT (system administration). You will be in charge of creating and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline for automatic deployments. In this position, you will be charged with researching ways to improve testing and deployment systems to generate faster testing and scaling of deployments to meet the new demands of IPA’s diverse software applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Use various testing and deployment frameworks to develop efficient CI/CD processes that will ensure compliance with industry Best Practices for security and performance
- Assure applications are defect free before deploying updates
- Handle regression testing for planned software updates and emergency bug fixes
- Work with various development and collaboration tools, including Trello and Git
- Collaborate with other Applications Group team members, product line managers, and stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work in both Linux and Windows environments
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development
- Git, GitHub Actions, Docker, NPM, PNPM, PIP, AWS, Bash, Python, NodeJS, SQL, Jest, Selenium, React-Testing-Library, Cypress
- Knowledge of network stack and application networking
- Ability to troubleshoot errors within a scalable production environment
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to follow complex procedures
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision
- Focused on quality
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Four years’ experience with DevOps or academic equivalent is required. Entry-level/recent graduates will be considered.
