The Systems Administrator will support several projects and influence the creation of digital software, in addition to maintaining IPA’s suite of web applications and supporting managers and other staff to produce creative, high-impact projects for clients.


Primary responsibilities include maintaining internal and external software applications. The Systems Administrator will work closely with a team of application developers, database administrators, and IT engineers supporting complex applications, application deployments, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The environment is fast paced and agile. Candidates should be knowledgeable in multiple databases platforms, Linux and Windows systems administration, AWS cloud technology, cloud security, application architectures and deployment approaches in the cloud, management of cloud environments, application migrations, and cloud managed database services including RDS. In this position, you will always be encouraged and expected to contribute ideas to improve the company’s technology and products.


  • Solve data flow problems and perform end-to-end system integration tasks to include system design, development, and administration
  • Develop system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for small-to-large scale systems
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to knowledge/technique dissemination to analytic workforce
  • Convey new techniques and technologies to the analytic workforce and facilitate the transfer of acquired knowledge from experienced analysts to new analysts
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, highly organized, and effective communications skills both orally and written
  • Expert in Linux and Windows systems administration
  • Expert working with AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPCs
  • Experience managing Load Balancers
  • Experience with GIT
  • Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception through implementation
  • Contribute to the development of documentation, including system diagrams, standards, specifications, and operating procedures
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the customer network/system performance or reliability
  • Seek opportunities to improve the customer service delivery practices
  • Troubleshoot network problems
  • Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology
  • Agile delivery at the core of your culture and experienced and ready for a modernized delivery environment
  • Familiar with the latest technology and able to develop technical solutions to meet a wide range of business needs
  • Maintain and enhance functionalities for web applications
  • Ensure that all user input is validated before designing applications
  • Keep software and products up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Promote usability best practices
  • Collaborate with other development team members, product line management, and stakeholders


  • • Must be able to create responsive and adaptive design, and stay current with design developments within the interactive industry
  • • Familiar with agile development methodologies
  • Ability to use interface design principles
  • • Extensive knowledge of Object Oriented JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML 5
  • Experience with content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress
  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS and Docker
  • Comprehensive Web development knowledge (Java, Python, PHP, .NET, JavaScript, CSS, CGI, HTML, XML, Postgres, MySQL, SQL) and familiar with GIT deploying
  • Working knowledge of organic search engine optimization techniques
  • • Understanding of database knowledge
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Self-motivation and ability to work on own projects with little supervision


Must have hosted cloud or related field experience and a minimum of 7 years work experience with both Linux and Window servers.
