About 404 Errors
We hope you never receive a 404 error (or “404 Not Found“ error) when using an IPA application, but here’s some handy info just in case. A 404 error means your browser reached the website’s server, but the server couldn’t find anything at the URL you entered.
Common reasons for a 404 error:
- The page was deleted or moved without updating the link
- The link you followed is outdated or broken
- You typed the URL incorrectly
- Firewall or security setting
- Server or DNS misconfiguration
What to do if you experience a 404 error in an IPA application:
The IPA Software Team will always let users know if we are removing a page or updating to a new URL. If you do experience a 404 error, we recommend taking the following actions:
- Reload the page to force your browser to retrieve the most recent version of the application
- If the page still doesn’t load, double check the spelling of the URL, including checking case sensitivity, and try again
- If that doesn’t solve the issue, ask your IT department if your company’s firewall or security settings have changed
- If the 404 error remains, send a message to the software email address listed above to notify IPA
