The Challenge

A project manager in charge of delivering a $4 billion hydroelectric power project in North America requested IPA assistance to ensure Best Practices were incorporated into the project’s planning phase and reasonable cost and schedule targets were set prior to full-funds authorization.

The Solution

IPA held two separate project workshops to compare the project’s planned practices to industry Best Practices, identify the gaps that existed, and recommend improvements to the project team. IPA also benchmarked the detailed cost as well as the project schedule (by phase) to ensure feasibility.
