Biofuel Projects Survey: Estimate Development and Validation

Biogas plant and farm in blooming rapeseed fields.

Biofuels production is projected to grow by 28% between 2021 and 2026, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). This growth is in part due to increasing demand, but more so due to government policies, incentives, and subsidies focusing on sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. As the energy industry ramps up biofuels production projects, there is an increasing need for information on the associated capital costs and how to best execute these projects to meet growing demand and take advantage of opportunities in this new energy sector.

To address this need, Independent Project Analysis (IPA) plans to conduct a research study to build metrics that can support early-stage (conceptual and feasibility) estimate development, as well as detailed estimate validation for biofuel projects. Please complete the survey below to help us shape the path forward for our research into biofuels projects. The purpose of this survey is to gauge interest in biofuel project types, and to understand the data that your company can provide as part of the research effort. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
